Last night we officially kicked off our fall Wednesday line up. Over the summer we took a break from the full worship band and had some real intimate times of worship. Instead of me speaking each week, we had small groups led by our leaders (who did a fantastic job by the way!).
It felt great to be back in the swing of things. We had a new addition to the worship team; Mitchell Bell on electric guitar. He made his older brother proud :) …

My message was from Matthew 5:13. As everyone is heading back to school, it’s imperative that we start off being salt. When people get a taste of who we are, they should realize that we’re different, that we’ve been radically transformed by the power of God. Otherwise, as Jesus tells us, we’re really good for nothing! Next week I’ll be taking a look at Matthew 5:14-16 and how we’re also to be lights shinning in a dark world.
We also had several new people there for the first time. It’s exciting to see our young people reach out to their friends at school and bring them to church!
